ecoluxstars
By admin | June 6, 2007
we have been tracking the differing definions of ecolux on the web for the padst week, as expected… lots of differing views of what this means, is it a trend, is it real in trems of the planet…
seems to us here at ecolux that we have a ready batch of spokespeople who embody both the elements of eco and lux; our mega.hyper.ultrastars who both support and speak for global eco interests and have the lifestyle and capacity to live and consume in the luxury segment.
here is a short list:
al gore . john kerry . brad pitt . morgan freeman . ted danson . george clooney . oprah whinfrey . richard branson . laura dern . woody harelsen . daryl hannah . more…
now we see the fundamentalist ecospirits bash these folks for having 15,000 square foot mansions, two or three at a time, made of earths sacred materials and heated or cooled using any number of negativley contributing sources, not to mention their jetting about the planet and the carbon footprints (sasquach prints) associated with that travel… but I have to wonder if the fame and celebretity that they have and use pull to the tube or event or website where they have a captive fan club audience to send green messages to dosen’t reach more humans that individually change, even a little of their ways, and the positive effect that all those noncelebs added together creates dosn’t offset the superstar consumtion by more than 10 or 100 fold thus resulting in a certian global positive effect for the lot… could that be one definition of ecolux…
